In October I took our 2016 line to NYBFW. Cicada has just begun offering our gowns at bridal shops around the country, and NYBFW is the opportunity to show to bridal shop buyers, as well as meet other bridal designers. I showed with Wed/Altered- a group of indie designers with unique, socially conscious, eco-friendly and non-traditional bridal designs. It was exciting to get to know other independent designers, and we have a few new shops carrying our line! Here are some pics from that week.

It was a interesting experience. I loved meeting and talking to the shop owners and designers from all over- including Lithuania and Trinidad! The other designers were fun to hang out with- each with their own unique vision of a beautiful bridal gown, and each with tips and insight to share. Of course, I'm always overwhelmed with the amount of fun to be had in NYC, and I snuck in seeing a band at Arlene's Grocery, cocktails at the London Hotel, and a serene ferry ride to Staten Island and stroll in Battery Park before I left. Now, back in Seattle I'm packing up our line for our first ever trunk show in London at Heart Aflutter Bridal November 21-29.
